Title Help?

I'm in need of some serious help, my friends. I hate titling my books and my latest is giving me grief. Any of you willing to provide an opinion?
Book Blurb:
Intent on freeing the children, Nathan Christensen fights against the billion-dollar human trafficking industry. He won’t give up until they kill him, again.
Cassidy Christensen is oblivious to the evil surrounding her, she’s more concerned about winning the lousiest prize imaginable−an entry into the St. George Marathon. Two thugs searching for her dead father, ridiculing family members, and her nemesis, Hot Redhead, are intent on keeping her from more than the finish line.
Title Options:
Dead Last
Racing Shadows
Dead Running
Girl on the Run
Run, Girl, Run
Don't Stop Running
Running Without Hope
Running Without A Chance
Any other ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks,

  1. I like Run, Girl Run - that one seems more of a suspenseful title.

  2. How about DEAD LAST, since it seems to involve a race? Just a thought.

  3. Thanks Sheryl and DL. I'm adding Dead Last to the top of the list. Fabulous idea!

  4. I love Dead Last. It's the best by far!

  5. I love Dead Last. By far the best!!! :) You're right titles are hard.

  6. I was trying to think of a great title but yours seem to work. Dead Last sounds great. I would pick it up with that title. Good luck

  7. The postulate that "Cassidy Christensen is oblivious to the evil surrounding her" is essential in determining a title reflecting this:

    Possible Titles may include:

"Racing Shadows" (implying unseen and intangible evil)

"The Final Race" (relating to the universal battle of good versus evil)

"The Silent Run" (Cassidy's ignorance of a looming danger)

"The Last Place Runner" or "The Last Place Race" or "The Last Place Prize" (assumption that Cassidy's failure to win the race saves her life)

"The Runaway Winner" (alluding to her running away from danger in order to truly win)

"Photo Finish Endings" (the distraction of her goal 'the finish line' may spell 'the end' for Cassidy

Thanking you for your kind visits to NW, Cami, and God Bless,

  8. Can't decide between Run, Girl, Run (I think my first choice??) and Dead Last (I think my second choice??). But I continue to waffle between the two titles.

Although in reading the other comments, Racing Shadows is pretty good, too.

    Hope that helps!

  9. I agree--DL's "Dead Last" is a solid, intriguing title. Good luck! Whatever you decide, I can't wait to read it! :)

  10. Thank you, Bill, for the fabulous new ideas. Wow.
Thanks everyone for your input. I'll let you know when I make a final decision.

  11. I like Girl on the Run. It does seem like a hard feet to title a book something good. Good Luck!

I love comments! Thanks for taking the time to make me feel happy.
