In need of blogging advice

I am guilty of the #1 way to lose blogging traffic according to a recent article in Writer's Digest. I post too infrequently. With a 3 month old baby I have a hard time turning on my computer let alone clicking onto my blogs. I know, excuses, excuses. I promise soon I'll get on top of things. What blogging advice has been effective for you? I thought these blogs had some good ideas: LifeDev Manish Pandey Lisa Chris Garrett

  1. My advice is this...Blogging is not the most important thing in the world. Your baby is, so don't feel bad for not blogging as frequently. Priorities shift from time to time and that's OK.

  2. One great way to blog more frequently is to schedule posts, so when you have some time just do a bunch of posts and schedule them throughout the week and whamo, you are a regular poster.

  3. Hmmm. My baby will be two in January, and I'm still very much out of the blogging loop and much else. I like Steve's advice. We have the rest of our lives to blog and write books, but our children will only be small for so long. Enjoy that baby!

  4. I write historicals, so most of my blog posts are about historical research I've uncovered. Sometimes I talk about the origin of holidays or events, and sometimes I just blog about stuff on my mine. It's also really fun to have guest bloggers and author interviews.

  5. That's a great idea, Kristin, to type a few when you have time and then just schedule them.
Thanks Steve and Michelle, I am definitely enjoying being home and loving all of my boys and that has to be the focus because someday soon they'll grow up and not need me.

I love comments! Thanks for taking the time to make me feel happy.
