Dress for success

My 8yo begs every day to wear athletic pants to school. I used to say no, until I volunteered at his class. Now we have to clarify which days are "dress up" days. Sometimes I wonder if dressing so casually affects the students level of respect and productivity. I love to hang out in sweats, but I find if I don't get ready for the day I feel lazy and slobby. I know many authors write in their sweats but for me the way I'm dressed can have a bearing on my productivity and quality of work. What about you? Do you feel more productive when you're dressed nice or is being comfortable always top priority?

  1. I like to look decent. I'm usually pretty casual, but not sweats or pajamas. Unless I'm writing late at night. Then I love writing in my pajamas.

  2. I agree. Once I've gotten ready for the day I love slipping into sweats to write at night.

  4. I too feel more productive when I am put together. I even feel better when I do my makeup- even if it's mascara and lip gloss. But go for comfy clothes all the way, and for me good comfy shoes for standing in my kitchen all day long. And an apron in a necessity.
