Harry saves the drive

We had a fabulous vacation to southern California, except for the twenty-four hours spent in the minivan with one-year old throwing up on the way down and six-year old on the way home. Truthfully the boys did pretty well on the drive and we had so much fun at the beach (my big boys taught me how to boogie board, loved it). Harry Potter saved us on the drive home. We read over 400 pages of Harry (books 4 & 5). It even seemed to soothe the baby, though my husband was a bit disturbed about Dementor's sucking out souls and Malfoy being such a prat (he's never read the series).
What do you do to entertain your family in the car?

  1. Cami, I seen your post title and I was sooooo hoping it was Harry Potter and thrilled to see that it was. I adore the books, and if you have not tried the audio versions yet I highly recommend them - sooooo good and great for family time in the car!

    1. We love Harry too! Audiobooks are such a great idea. I could save my voice! But then I might fall asleep.

  2. Oh, Cami!! I'm so sorry they were sick, poor guys! Are they better now? I'm glad there were still a lot of good parts to the trip. We have one coming up and I'm crossing my fingers that we'll all be in one piece afterward. :)

    1. It must have been just car sick because they were great as soon as they stepped out of the car!
Are you going somewhere fun? I was actually surprised how well the boys did, even the little guy! Hope you have a wonderful vacation!
