My Review:
I'm so grateful to have this book in my home as it is the type of book you want to read a section from every day. The layout of this book is perfect. There are inspirational quotes alternating with uplifting stories. It would be impossible to pick my favorite but I have to share at least one of the quotes to give you an example:
"The Lord does notice us and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs." President Spencer W. Kimball
The stories that follow the quotes are short and so touching, you'll laugh and cry. I said I'll read the book everyday because it truly inspires me to be more charitable and grateful. I kept thinking as I read it who I would buy a copy for first. I wish Mother's Day was sooner but there's always birthdays, Christmas, and visiting teaching gifts.
I have to also say that I met Diony at the LDS Storymakers Conference and instantly felt like I'd found a wonderful friend. It was no surprise to me that she'd author a book like this as she lives like this everyday but I was shocked to find out she has two grandchildren, I thought she was 30!
I will be giving away a copy of A Sisterhood of Strength on Monday, August 20th, so check back in then to win your own copy.
