Book Review - Noble Vision

Noble Vision is the gripping story of a beautiful ballerina who suffers a devastating injury and a young neurosurgeon who is determined to help her. He has discovered a new medical treatment that might cure her—but he must first get permission to use it from an unwieldy state bureaucracy that runs medicine.
An unusual hero, a tender love story, a revolutionary medical breakthrough, and a bitter conflict with the law are interwoven in a page-turning plot that will surprise and delight you from start to finish.

My Review:

I was extremely impressed with this book, especially the themes and morality issues the author raised. I have to include this quote from the book because I love the way the heroine phrases the question of entitlement. This is Nicole's response when the lawyer asks her how she expects the disadvantaged to rise.
"How do you think I rose? How do you think they would rise? I'm telling you from personal experience, the worst thing you can do for the disadvantaged is to keep feeding them like a mother bird that wont' let her babies fledge. My blindness is . . . devastating . . because it makes me dependent on others. Why would anyone want an self-imposed blindness? Basically, there's only you and the world, and you take your chances. That's the challenge-and the glory-of life, isn't it?"

The whole book is full of thought-provoking quotes and themes like that. My only problem with the book was there was a lot of medical description that I skipped over and the hero was married when he started falling in love with the heroine, but it is a clean romance and an inspiring story. I would recommend you read it and then come tell me what you think.

It's only $.99 on Amazon.
