The Leaves

My husband and I drove through Sardine Canyon and admired the unreal beauty of leaves: green, yellow, orange, and red. Some trees were green on the bottom and fiery red on the top. So pretty. I ran up Smithfield Canyon and the leaves were just starting to change, not nearly as pretty as Sardine but I enjoyed them more. I think it was the slow pace of my running versus the speed-demon driving my husband prides himself on! My thought for today is to slow down, take a walk, enjoy this lovely time of year. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I grew up in Ohio where there were colorful trees everywhere. Here in Florida when the seasons change, the trees stay pretty much the same. I miss all the bursts of colors!!

    1. It's pretty but I'd take being warm over colorful trees any day!

  2. I love the changing colors too! Here in Illinois, there aren't AS many colors as in other parts of the country. Mostly yellow. But once in a while I see a tree with red leaves, or bright orange like a peach, and it is so pretty I Could stare at it forever!

    1. I was amazed that we drove back through the canyon today and it was different, more yellows and oranges. So pretty.
