School Schmule

I have never been a big fan of sending my children off to school. I know they need to learn, develop, deal with bullies, and eat pizza for lunch every day, but it's still hard on the Mama!
My oldest is 14, over six feet tall now (school shopping just got extremely expensive as he grew out of everything he owned), and played in his first high school lacrosse game last Saturday, you'd think I could get used to letting him go, but it still tore a piece of my heart out when he went to lacrosse camp for four days. My second is 11 and the biggest sweetie you can imagine. I thought I'd do better signing him up for middle school than I did with his older brother. Nope. I'm having major depression even though he assures me he'll be just fine.
How do you deal with letting go? Are you excited for school to start, mourning summer's end, or a bit of both?
This picture is old, but I had to show off these cute little monkeys.
